Nepalese Moon Singing Bowl – Large, 17cm, 850g
About this piece
A large Nepalese moon bowl, 17cm across, with a deep, resonant voice that fills a room. Each strike rings out slowly and settles into a long, low hum.
Skilfully handcrafted by Nepalese artisans from a single piece of metal alloy, it follows traditions passed down through generations. Being the largest of the three moon bowls, it gives the richest, most far-reaching tone, and it looks striking as a centrepiece. It makes a generous gift for anyone with a meditation space, yoga studio or a love of sound.
To play, rest the bowl on the palm of your hand or a soft cushion. Tap the rim gently with a striker to wake the tone, then circle the striker slowly around the outside edge to let the sound build and linger. Let the final note fade fully before you play again.
