Niaouli Essential Oil has a strong, fresh, camphorous aroma, earthy and medicinal, with a clean, penetrating sharpness. Steam distilled from the leaves and twigs of Melaleuca viridiflora, a close cousin of tea tree, this 10ml bottle is more of a practical workhorse than a perfume.

Niaouli comes from the same family of trees as tea tree and cajeput, and its bold, clearing scent is valued by experienced blenders. Straight from the bottle it can seem harsh, but blended with softer oils such as lavender, lemon or eucalyptus it becomes fresh and invigorating. A useful addition for anyone building a practical aromatherapy kit.

Use a drop or two in a diffuser or oil burner, ideally with gentler oils, or blend into a carrier oil. Dilute before use on skin. Avoid during pregnancy and keep out of reach of children. Never leave a lit burner unattended.
