Parasite Wood Carving – Large Mushrooms, Set of 4
About this piece
Four mushrooms rising at different heights from a single base, a taller and more eye-catching piece. The variation in stem length and cap shape gives it a sculptural feel.
Mushrooms have a long place in folklore and woodland tales, and this group makes a bold focal point for a mantelpiece or shelf. A fine gift for a forager or a lover of woodland decor. Each piece is cut from naturally formed parasite wood, so grain, colour and shape vary.
Stand it on a shelf, sideboard or altar, where the heights can be admired. Dust gently with a dry cloth. The mushrooms stand at different heights, so the piece looks different from every angle, and it looks wonderful among ferns, moss or candles for a woodland mood. Because the base is a natural piece of wood, it stands on any flat surface.
