Sage takes its name from the Latin salvare, to save, and it has been a cornerstone of herbal tradition for centuries. In English folklore it was said that sage thrives where the woman rules the house, and that eating it in May brings long life. It is still traditionally associated with wisdom and purification. A meaningful oil for herbalists and experienced blenders.
Use sparingly, just a drop or two in a diffuser or burner blended with gentler oils. Dilute well before use on skin. Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and do not use if you have epilepsy or high blood pressure. Keep out of reach of children. Never leave a lit burner unattended.
