Selenite takes its name from Selene, the Greek goddess of the moon, and it is easy to see why: the milky crystal fibres catch and soften the light with a lunar glow. In crystal lore it is linked with the third eye and crown, and some say it encourages purity and honesty. The egg shape is a traditional symbol of new beginnings, which makes this a sweet gift for a new home, a birthday or a fresh start.
