About this piece
A large heart-shaped bowl carved from selenite, 15cm across, in pearly white with silky bands. It is roomy enough to hold a whole collection of crystals.
Selenite takes its name from Selene, the Greek goddess of the moon, and its milky, silky glow looks lunar in any light. In folklore it is linked with clarity, calm and a feeling of fresh air in a room. Bowls like this are traditionally used to rest other crystals, so a larger one makes a fine home for a full collection.
