Vetiver, also called khus, is a clumping tropical grass whose roots are used for this oil; in India the roots are woven into screens and prized in perfumery. A gift for anyone who loves earthy, grounding scents.
It blends happily with lavender or patchouli. Dilute before use on skin. If you use an oil burner, never leave the flame unattended. Between uses, pop it back in a cool, dark place, cap firmly closed, well out of reach of children and pets.
