Chakra Singing Bowl – Throat
About this piece
A brass throat chakra singing bowl, the colour of bright blue, made to ring when you circle its rim with the wood stick. Small and weighty in the hand, it has a clear, resonant voice that fills a room.
In yogic tradition the throat chakra sits at the throat and is linked with communication and creativity. Its colour is bright blue, and its stones are said to be sodalite, blue lace agate and lapis lazuli. Associated energies include water, calm and ease. It is a lovely gift for a meditator or yoga lover, bringing a little extra inner calm to a daily routine.
Rest it on your palm or a cushion, then use the wood stick to tap it, or circle the rim slowly to make the bowl sing. It takes a little practice to master, but the sound is worth it. Keep it on an altar or shelf in between.
