Chirping Wooden Grasshopper Instrument
About this piece
The Chirping Wooden Grasshopper is a playful little instrument that really does sound like a grasshopper in a summer meadow. Its elongated shape, carved wings and rich natural wood tones make it a charming piece to display, and a gentle touch brings out a bright, resonant chirp.
Handmade from natural Jempinis wood, each grasshopper has its own variations in grain and finish, so no two are quite the same. It is lightweight and easy to play, making it a delightful sensory item, conversation piece or simple musical toy for adults and children alike. A whimsical gift for music lovers, nature lovers or anyone with a boho or nature-inspired home.
Pick it up and play it to create rhythmic chirps and cheerful patterns, perhaps alongside a sound bath, a story or a nature-themed play session. Between times, sit it on a shelf or desk where it can bring a smile.
