Happy Drum Tongue Drum – Blue Sky Om, 18cm
About this piece
Soft sky blue and a single Om symbol give this compact steel tongue drum a quiet, minimal beauty. Tap it and the notes come out clear and round, drifting through the room like a slow breath on a still morning.
The eight-note scale is arranged so that any combination sounds harmonious, so there is nothing to learn before you begin. That makes it a thoughtful gift for a friend who meditates, a new yoga teacher, or someone who simply needs an easy way to switch off at the end of a long week. The pale blue finish suits calm, uncluttered spaces.
Sit comfortably, hold the drum steady on your knees and tap the notes gently with the pair of wooden mallets. Play slowly as part of an evening wind-down, or let a few unhurried notes mark the start of your meditation. When you are done, slip it into the durable carry bag.
