Incense Powder – Mountain Clove, 50g

A fine powder in a small pot, scented with mountain clove. The smoke is warm and spicy with a sweet edge, like a kitchen filled with mulling spices in winter.

Clove has been used in perfumery and incense for centuries, and its spicy character is especially welcome in cold months. The powder form makes lighting a small ceremony of its own. A cosy present for a friend who loves winter scents, or a pairing for a hot cup of tea.

Place a heat-resistant burner or holder on a stable surface, pack the powder into a mould and gently turn it out onto the plate. Light it, let it catch briefly, then blow it out so it smoulders. Never leave burning incense unattended.
