About this piece
A medium rectangular tank of molten glass on a wooden stand, with a wide opening that shows off whatever grows inside. The clear glass catches light along its edges, and the wood gives the whole piece a grounded, natural base.
Molten glass on wood is a Balinese-inspired craft in which glass is shaped over a piece of natural Gamal wood and left to harden into its curves, so the glass fits the timber like a hand in a glove. No two pieces are alike, and it makes a gift with real character for a plant lover or a new home.
Use it for a cutting in water, a small succulent, dried flowers or a handful of crystals. Wipe the glass with a soft damp cloth and the wood with a dry one, and keep the wood from sitting in water.
