Natural Bamboo Wind Chime – Mother & Chicks
About this piece
A mother bird and her chicks perch above a row of natural bamboo tubes, a charming little family carved in wood that sways gently with every gust. The tubes below knock together with a soft, hollow tone, so the chime is as pretty to look at as it is to hear.
Handcrafted in Indonesia from sustainable bamboo, the Mother and Chicks design is a sweet nod to family and nurturing. It makes a heartfelt gift for a new mum, a grandmother, Mother's Day or a friend who has just moved into a new home. The natural finish lets the grain of the bamboo show, and the birds give the piece a gentle, storybook quality.
Hang it in a sheltered spot such as under a porch roof, from a tree branch or beside an open window, leaving space for the tubes to swing. Standing at 105cm with the bird and tubes together measuring 65cm, it makes a pretty feature in a garden corner or conservatory.
