Nutmeg Essential Oil is warm, spicy, sweet and softly woody, the comforting scent of nutmeg freshly grated over a custard tart. Steam distilled from the seed of Myristica fragrans in Indonesia, this 50ml bottle adds a beautiful, distinctive spice to blends.

Nutmeg was once so precious that wars were fought over the tiny Banda Islands where it grew, and in British folk tradition a nutmeg carried in the pocket was a charm for luck. As an oil it can be very stimulating, and many people use it to support motivation and focus. It blends beautifully with spice, citrus, floral and wood oils, turning a plain blend into something special.

Use sparingly, just a drop or two in a diffuser or burner alongside orange, clove or cedarwood. Dilute well before use on skin. Avoid during pregnancy and keep out of reach of children. Never leave a lit burner unattended.
