About this piece
A hand-carved elephant caught mid-step, full of quiet strength and movement, on a raw parasite wood base. The smooth wood shows off the gentle curves of the carving.
The elephant is a symbol of strength, memory and good fortune, and this walking one is a lovely gift for an elephant enthusiast. Each piece is cut from naturally formed parasite wood, so grain, colour and shape vary.
Place it on a bookshelf or desk, facing the room. Dust with a soft dry cloth. The raised step gives the elephant a sense of purpose, as if it were walking slowly across the shelf, and it looks lovely beside books, plants or a few polished stones. Because the base is a natural piece of wood, it stands on any flat surface.
