About this piece
A large handmade singing bowl in shining bell-metal, 17cm across and weighing approx. 850g. It gleams with polished metal and gives a deeper, fuller tone that unfolds slowly.
Singing bowls belong to Himalayan meditation traditions, and a handmade bowl of this size has a satisfying depth with an individual voice, as each one differs slightly. It is a generous gift for a meditation practitioner or a sound bath lover, and sits beautifully on an altar or shelf.
Rest the bowl on a cushion or your open hand and circle the striker around the rim with steady, even pressure until it begins to hum. Tap the side for a single clear note. Allow it to fade before you play again.
