About this piece
A five-sided motif is carved into this 8cm soapstone disc, crisp against the smooth stone. At 115g it feels substantial for its size, and it makes a neat, sculptural base for an incense stick or cone.
Five-pointed and five-sided symbols are often connected with the five elements of earth, air, fire, water and spirit, and with protection and harmony. Soapstone is a soft stone with a long carving tradition and is traditionally linked with spirituality. This holder suits a witch's altar or a friend who loves symbols.
Never leave burning incense unattended. When cool, wipe away the ash with a soft dry cloth.
