Each of these burners is hand carved in Jogja, Java, where stone Buddha carving is a local craft, then finished with glass and sandstone. It is a tasteful gift for a housewarming, an anniversary or anyone who appreciates well-made things. Add a pack of wax melts or a bottle of essential oil to complete it.
Add water and a few drops of your favourite fragrance oil to the top bowl, then light a tealight beneath and stand the burner on a heatproof mat. As the water gently warms, the scent fills the room. Never leave a lit burner unattended and keep it away from curtains and children.
