Chakra Singing Bowl – Root
About this piece
A brass root chakra singing bowl, the colour of red, made to ring when you circle its rim with the wood stick. Small and weighty in the hand, it has a clear, resonant voice that fills a room.
In yogic tradition the root chakra sits at the base of the spine and is linked with survival and grounding. Its colour is red, and its stones are said to be garnet, ruby, onyx and obsidian. Associated energies include stillness and stability. It is a lovely gift for a meditator or yoga lover, bringing a little extra inner calm to a daily routine.
Rest it on your palm or a cushion, then use the wood stick to tap it, or circle the rim slowly to make the bowl sing. It takes a little practice to master, but the sound is worth it. Keep it on an altar or shelf in between.
