About this piece
A lucky cat carved from black obsidian, sleek and glossy like a cat in the moonlight. The dark glass-like stone gives it a mysterious, elegant look.
Black obsidian is volcanic glass, traditionally used as a protective stone and a mirror for honest self-reflection. The beckoning cat, or maneki-neko, is a Japanese symbol of good fortune, and in obsidian it keeps a watchful eye on the home. A stylish gift for a black cat lover or a friend who likes something a little dramatic.
Place it near the door, on a desk or in a shop window, where it can welcome good fortune.
