Kashaka Shaker – Beach
About this piece
The Kashaka shaker is made of connected wooden balls that you spin around your hand, producing fast, flowing clicks and shakes. This one is in a warm beach-inspired finish, with smooth Suar wood and a natural, handmade look.
Kashaka are traditionally played by rotating the balls around the hand, and the connected double-ball design makes layered clicking and shaking sounds that can be soft and calming or energetic. Handcrafted in Bali, each one is slightly different. It is a lovely small gift for a music lover, a festival-goer or a child with a sense of rhythm.
Hold the handle and roll the wrist so the balls swing around your hand, starting slowly and building pace. It is easy to pick up and fun to play along to music. Keep it in a bag for drum circles and meditation sessions.
