Crystal Ball on Stand – 110mm
About this piece
A 110mm crystal ball in clear optical glass, weighing around 25kg and resting on a crystal stand. It has the commanding presence of a proper fortune-teller's globe, deep and glassy, with a bright window of light on one side.
A sphere of this size is not made lightly: crystal balls must be flawless, so many are discarded, and bigger ones are disproportionately difficult. That is why this is a statement piece, whether on a reading table, a mantelpiece or a witch's study. It would suit a professional reader, or make a showstopping gift for a milestone birthday.
Set it on a dark, plain cloth in subdued light and rest your gaze on its curve until your eyes soften. An LED light box underneath adds drama. Keep it out of direct sunlight, which can be focused by the glass. The foam-filled box protects it between uses.
