Memento Mori Gothic Playing & Oracle Cards
About this piece
Memento Mori Gothic Playing & Oracle Cards takes the structure of a classic 54-card deck and dresses it in darkly elegant artwork. Skeletal figures, dripping suits and intricate gothic designs appear in striking red and black on smooth, high-quality card.
The theme comes from memento mori, the old reminder of mortality and fate, and it turns an ordinary game into something atmospheric. The deck works both as a playing deck for your favourite card games and for simple oracle readings, where you read the cards intuitively for insight and reflection. It is a fine gift for a collector, a gothic enthusiast or anyone who enjoys a touch of the macabre at the game table.
Play a few hands with friends, then try a gentle one-card daily draw: shuffle, pull one card and think about what its image says to you. Keep the deck in its single box on a bookshelf or beside your tarot cards.
