About this piece
Ridged like a gentle wave, this corrugated hemu wood soap dish has a satisfying, sculptural look and a practical purpose: its raised ridges hold soap above the drips so it can drain and dry.
Natural and handmade soaps go soft quickly if they sit in water, so a well-designed wooden dish makes all the difference. This one is made from hemu wood, a sustainable timber from the Guger tree in China, and is individually wrapped in paper. Paired with a soap slice, it makes a lovely eco-friendly gift for a house-warming or a thank-you.
Set it beside the basin, bath or sink and rest your soap on the ridges after each wash. Rinse occasionally and let it air dry. It is a small change that keeps bars firm and helps them last much longer.
