Mango Wood Rectangle Box – Whitewash Buddha Face, 21.5cm
About this piece
A rectangular mango wood box, 25 x 14 x 6.3cm, in a whitewash finish with a Buddha face engraved on the lid. The chalky white shows the grain, and the face has a gentle, restful look.
The Buddha's calm face brings a peaceful air to a bedroom or altar, and the whitewash finish keeps it light. It suits a yoga lover or a friend setting up a quiet corner. Mango wood is a hard-wearing, handsome timber, and the grain shows through the finish so that every box has its own pattern. Boxes like this have long been used to keep small treasures safe, from love letters to lockets, and they make a lovely keepsake.
Keep your jewellery, tarot deck or crystals inside, or leave it on a shelf as decor. Wipe with a dry cloth. Whitewash and grain vary from box to box.
