How your tarot year card is calculated
Take the day and month of your birthday and add them to the year you are curious about. Then add the digits of the total together, and keep going until you reach 22 or less. A total of 22 is The Fool.
For example, someone born on 14 March looking at 2027 adds 14 + 3 + 2027 = 2044, then 2 + 0 + 4 + 4 = 10. Their 2027 year card is Wheel of Fortune.

What is a tarot year card?
Your tarot year card is a Major Arcana card calculated from your birthday and a chosen year. It is read as the theme or lesson of that year for you, from one birthday to the next.
How do I calculate my tarot year card?
Add the day and month of your birthday to the year you want to look at, then add the digits of the total together. Keep adding the digits until you reach 22 or less. A total of 22 is The Fool.
When does my 2027 year card start?
Readers differ. Some read the year card from 1 January, others from your birthday in that year. Many people find it most helpful to start reflecting on it from the new year and look back on it on their birthday.
Is my year card the same as my birth card?
No. Your birth cards stay with you for life, while your year card changes every year. In some years your year card matches one of your birth cards, which many readers see as an especially significant year.
